Christmas Vacation (1989) is a hilarious comedy that frequents many houses at Christmas time. Mine is one of them, and I'm here to remind you why. Read on!
Chevy Chase is the man. He is comical and a master of slapstick humor. Another character to mention is Randy Quaid as Cousin Eddie. His performance is legendary. Hundreds of movies come out every year, and we don't always receive this kind of transformative character. Cousin Eddie will c0ntinue on as one of the film's best comedic performances. I seriously believe he should have been considered in the award shows including the Oscars.
Here's a list of amusing scenes as follows: the squirrel in the tree, reciting the national anthem as grace, Eddie filling the sewer drain, Clark falling off the roof and ladder, the attic scene, sledding, Clark's pool fantasy, kidnapping scene, the Christmas light attempts, Clark's burst of rage, and so much more.
There's not much more I need to say. It's a great movie that is treasured by people all over, and it'll stay as such. It's probably in most people's top two Christmas comedies as it should be. Is it in yours? My movie review is A+.
