Hocus Pocus (1993) is a classic Halloween film I didn't see until last year, and I enjoyed the showing. It's Disney and witches so that should be enough for most people to watch this movie. Read here! Spoilers may follow.
The three sisters are Winifred (Bette Midler), Mary (Kathy Najimy) and Sarah (Sarah Jessica Parker). The witches are back in modern times (funny to say because it's the 90's). They have to recite their spell to stay alive, and they must find the book to make it through the night.
All three actresses listed above are excellent in their roles. Each one has their own personalities that are fun to watch. A lot of the film involves seeing them in everyday situations like getting on a bus. It may be normal for us but not for them.
If you don't already know, I love cats, so having one as a side character is great. It may be a guy really, but it still looks like a cat.
The other actors and actresses are adequate too. They help progress the story along, and it's simple, fun and viewed by millions each Halloween.
For the kind of movie it is, it is one of the best. You get exactly what you expect, and it's enjoyable. My movie rating is B.
